The summary:

 

I know what it's like to wake up and wonder

"what happened to the life I thought I would have?"

 

As a young child, I really honored my creative soul. I would often sit in our willow tree with my guitar on my lap, and make up songs, write poetry, short stories, doodle or just pick around on the guitar strings. The tree made me feel grounded, and I loved the feeling of a warm summer breeze against my skin. I also felt connected to the sky. It was my private get-away, a place where I could experience the magic in my soul.

 

Fast forward post college graduation. I entered the business world, and my life experiences became focused on survival and meeting my new financial obligations. I slowly lost touch with my creativity.

 

I became more and more focused on tasks and the minutae of administrative details, and lost connection with my one true joy at work which was heart centered connections with co-workers about their dreams and passions. As I allowed connections between people, places and ideas to diminish, my innate sense of  joyfulness began to fade as well.

 

While in a bookstore In the mid 80’s, I was drawn to a title on a shelf. The book was “Wishcraft” by Barbara Sher. I took the book home and began devouring it's pages. The seed was planted that it was possible to do and get paid for work that I loved. That book ignited a passion to re-create magic in my own life.

 

I immersed myself in spiritual growth classes which gave me some connection, but it wasn't enough.

 

I left "Corporate America" (for the first time!) in the early 90's in order to experience life through a more creative lens. Shortly after leaving my job, I got a flash of insight to relocate to New Mexico. Since "the voice" wasn't very specific (likening the experience to the one Ray had in "Field of Dreams"), I promptly ignored the guidance, and continued trying to figure out how to make my life work. (Translation: a lot of effort!)

 

After a couple of years of creative projects and temporary work, I resigned my ideals once more, and took a job with a company that soon became a subsidiary of the large corporation I had left earlier. It was during this time that I began to face a major health challenge.

 

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, and began a long journey to uncover the cause of my dis-ease. I believe that my body's inner wisdom created automatic responses to my choices. From those responses came severe energetic consequences that greatly impacted my ability to draw much enjoyment from life. In other words, the wisdom of my physical body was mirroring energetically the consequences of the choices I was making.

 

During my time of  illness, I was so keenly focused on mentally understanding my health condition, and "surviving" on the job, that I was mostly cut off from any additional inner guidance. My health gradually improved, yet I continued to have a nagging sense that I wasn’t doing what I was here to do.

 

Even so, I stayed with that other corporate entity for a few years before taking a job with a much smaller privately owned company.  As life patterns often repeat until we "get it," once again I traded my passions for “the paycheck”.

 

Yet one constant in my life has been a belief in a kind of magic surrounding life – that things happen for a reason, and that untapped possibilities often exist for fulfilling dreams.

 

Through my varied business administrative background, and opportunities to work in different capacities and situations, I discovered a gift for zeroing into the sometimes obscured heart of a problem. Clarity about that gift enabled me to recognize coaching as MY dream when I connected with the profession in 2003 through a series of synchronistic events.

 

While working full time, and beginning to reinforce my ideals and passions through the vehicle of coaching, I began to pay attention to what was happening for me energetically while I was at work.

 

I started noticing the tension in my body as I continued to be out of alignment with my own passion and purpose. Finally, after 9 years with the smaller company, I heeded my guidance to once again, leave the “security” of “the paycheck." A mere 15 years after getting that strong hit of guidance, I relocated to New Mexico; holding onto only trust that it was the perfect next step in the evolution of my work in the world.

 

In listening to and following that inner guidance, circumstances really began to open up for me. I began to see my life unfold in miraculous ways. I began to feel a new sense of confidence, and started to appreciate the richness life has to offer.

 

Through changes I've made in my own life, and work I've done with clients, I've discovered a transformational process that propels life from dreary to delightful. In my work as a life coach, I facilitate journeys for people like you, deep into the heart of what’s required for you to create your own empowered life.
